Final Vehicle Debuts Oct. 31 at the 2012 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada –

Diamond Bar, CA (July 9, 2012) - The all-female build team is now finalized for the SEMA Mustang Build Powered by Women. Starting in July at Source Interlink Media’s Southern California headquarters, the team of technicians, enthusiasts and industry personnel will work together to customize the 2013 Ford Mustang GT donated by Ford Motor Co., the title sponsor of the project.

The SEMA Businesswomen’s Network (SBN) assembled more than 30 women for the team that will install 50-state, street-legal aftermarket parts provided by SEMA-member manufacturers and suppliers on to the Mustang GT. The team will transform the vehicle into the winning black chrome satin luxury Mustang concept known as “High Gear,” which was designed by Jennifer Seely of Ford and was chosen by Source Interlink Magazine readers and fans in June. The completed vehicle will be auctioned off on eBay Motors with proceeds being donated to the SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Ten Apps for Saving Money on Gas

Do you ever wish you knew which fueling station has the best price without having to drive around wasting gas to find it? I’ve used the free i-phone app GasBuddy on a long road trip before, and it was very helpful for finding the best prices for gas along the way.  I spent hundred of dollars on fuel on the trip and saving five or ten cents per gallon added up in the end.  GasBuddy relies on people chiming in to report the latest prices at any station they visit, providing anyone with the app current prices.

Here’s a great article that may help you find an app for finding the best gas prices around town and out of town if you’re planning a road trip!

We’ve been busy, well, fixing vehicles and such, and haven’t posted in a while.  We came across this article and thought it was very good from the very start.  Every customer who gives us a ring knows more than we may ever know about the vehicle, and letting us know in your own words can be quite helpful.  Often we get to the solution quicker which ultimately saves you money. Also, the fifth point can be crucial to fixing your vehicle as well.  We do our best work when we have the space and time to focus. We want your vehicle running as best as it can, and that requires us to give it our full attention.

Many female students at Central New Mexico Community College choose fields of study considered non-traditional – careers that are or have been traditionally dominated by men. Seven such women were honored by the CNM Chapter of the American Association of Women in Community Colleges at the Women in Non-Traditional Careers (WIN) Awards Celebration on March 28.

The keynote speaker of the event was Mollie Lewis, owner of All in the Wrist Auto, Albuquerque’s only woman-owned auto mechanic shop. She has over 25 years experience in the automotive and diesel service and repair industry.
